PNUC: Pollution NOT Under Control

Well, I had to start writing this blog at some time! And what better thing to start with than the ridiculous levels of pollution in the city. And taxis of course, top the list.

I keep reading all the time that the government has banned taxi's older than a certain amount of years and the pollution in taxi's is kept under check etc. Well as always, it's all on paper.

Here's a video of what I see oh so often on my drive back and forth between my home and studio. Mahim Causeway is a place where you pretty much get to see it all. Accidents, fights, all possible traffic violations etc.

This taxi was ahead of me with 2 traffic police officers standing right there and 1 senior RTO officer. 

Just great.

Update: I've registered a complaint with the Traffic Control Room at the RTO:
